EMUNAH UGANDA LUGANDA BIBLE PROJECT

A PRINTING PRESS FOR THE LORD'S HOLY WORD

2 Thessalonians 3 (KJV) Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

How expensive the Word of God has become. Imagine, the Holy Spirit breathed Word of God that was freely given to man is out of reach for many of us in the free world of Western civilisation let alone the third world of Africa. Why, you might ask? There's only one answer... the prostitution of salvation.

Church we can no longer sit by and agree to let people die without the Word of God in their hands because someone has put a price tag on it for money, that was made from the tree that was created by our creator God, Elohim, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Today, the translation, distribution and publishing of Bibles in Uganda lies at the feet of the Uganda Bible Society, which is made up of a conglomeration of superpower institutional church heads including the Catholic and Methodist churches- no seat filled by a Pentecostal. Reminds us of the times past when only the priests held the written Word of God. Who says history doesn't repeat itself!

Fast-forward a few hundred years and this is the state of Bible publishing in Uganda... though the Uganda Bible Society would rather that we don't know this.

  • Local Ugandan Bible translators located in/translating from Uganda

  • Printing paper purchased and supplied by Korea in Korea

  • Printing of the Bibles done in Korea

One might venture to ask why Korea? Why would the Holy Bible of the Lord be printed in a nation that doesn't even acknowledge the God of the Bible? If you have to import a product then of course the price of said product would be more expensive.

The popular and well-accepted KJV version of the Bible in Luganda, a language that is known and understood by all of the tribes in Uganda, was translated from the original manuscripts and costs 35,000 Ugx (small) and 40,000 Ugx (large)t

The Bible Society in their "favour for evangelism" having been bombarded  by other missionaries like us to provide a cheaper version of the Bible that the people can afford have also published a version which costs 20,000 Ugx, is 2 inches thick and very bulky and was not translated from the original manuscripts. Taboo or not, this is a version that Ugandans have refused to purchase which they have deemed it to be an unholy interpretation.

3,500 Ugx = $1 USD

Small - 35,000 Ugx = $10 USD

Large - 40,000 Ugx = $11.428 USD

Evangelical - 20,000 Ugx = $5.714 USD

These amounts may not seem as much to us here in the USA, but to a family that is having a hard time to put food on the table, they will choose to feed their family rather than purchase the Bible for the simple fact that though they love the Lord, they can't feed their hungry children the pages of the Bible to squash their hunger and stop the rumblings in that child's belly.

There's been a war brewing... a war that did not begin with God Faith Ministries.

The Uganda Bookshop... The first printing press for the Church of Uganda

Alexander Mackay: Road-Maker for Christ in Uganda

Many have tried to do what we are attempting to do but we believe and stand in Emunah faith that our God will crush that mountain of opposition and that this war will end with us in Jesus Name.

God Faith Ministries is proud to be able to stand on this battlefield of our Lord to war for this Kingdom of heaven liberty won on the Cross of Calvary. The Dark Ages shall not be a part of today as long as we dare to stand and let our light shine before men to glorify our Father in heaven.

We believe that we can help the people of Uganda by bringing a printing press into the country and being able to secure local translators to translate the "free, unbounded" version of the KJV to the Ugandan people. Our goal is to secure funding so that Bibles can be placed into the hands of the people who have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and also into the hands of His men/women servants who are out there preaching and teaching the Holy Word of God to the Ugandan people.

We pray God to give you peace to be able to help us be a blessing to this School ministry so that they can receive even more children into the school.
